The course is designed to enable organizations to attain the competencies necessary to improve workplace safety and health performance and practices by reviewing and implementing an occupational safety and health management system based on internationally accepted guidelines or standards, for instance, USA's OSHA Voluntary Safety and Health Program Management Guidelines, 1989; ILO/OSH 2001 and UK's OSHAS 18001, 1999. It is also essential preparation for assuring compliance with T&T's Amended OSHA, 2004.
