The deadline for registering with ACCA - CAT as a student and being eligible to sit your first set of examinations, Paper Based , in June of any year is December 31 of the prior year. For example the deadline to register for June 2008 is December 31, 2007. Since we do Computer based exams for the Introductory Level of the CAT programme we strongly recommend that you register in January 2008 for Computer based exams in June 2008 since the December 31 deadline does not apply to computer-based exams. By doing so you avoid having to pay Subscription fees in January 2008 for 2008 just after paying initial registration fees in December 2007 (see below).

The deadline for registering with ACCA as a student and being eligible to sit your first set of examinations, Paper Based, in December of any year is August 15 of that year. For example the deadline to register for December 2007 is 15 th August 2007.

Please note that the deadline for registration to sit the Computer Based Examinations (CBEs) which are only available for Papers T1 to T4 is not as stringent as the paper-based examination. To attempt CBEs you must be a registered student with an ACCA registration number.

For computer-based examinations in June of any year, you are advised to be registered with ACCA/ICATT in January of that year.

For computer-based examinations in December of any year, you are advised to be registered with ACCA/ICATT in July of that year.

For students enrolling on the three (3) month semester, registration with ACCA must be done as soon as you register with SBCS . ACCA normally takes approximately six (6) to eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of an application form to process a student's registration.

A registration fee of £56.00 is payable to ACCA on completion and submission of your registration form with all the necessary accompanying documents. As a result of a joint scheme relationship between ACCA and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) all Trinidad and Tobago resident students are required to pay registration fee to ICATT in the sum of TT $100.00 .

Once registered a student is required to pay annual subscription both to ACCA and ICATT from the 1 st January following the year of registration and every 1 st January thereafter. Currently the annual subscription is £56.00 for ACCA-CAT and $100.00 (TT) for ICATT. Annual Subscriptions must be paid NO LATER than 31 st January every year following the year of initial registration. Failure to submit subscriptions by the June 15 th of the current year will result in the student being de-registered from the CAT student register and inability to do any CAT examinations.
