Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)

Established for over eighty years, the Chartered Institute of Marketing offers globally-recognized certifications in Marketing and is Europe's largest professional body for marketing and sales practitioners.

Entry Requirements:

  • Professional Certificate in Marketing:
    • At least 18 years old, with four GCSE / five CXC passes, demonstrating competency in English or Mathematics, plus either 2 'A' Levels or
    • At least 19 years old with minimum of one year full-time work experience in Marketing
  • Professional Diploma in Marketing:

    • Completion of the CIM Certificate or
    • First Degree or
    • EdExcel (BTEC) Higher National Certificate/ Diploma in any subject or
    • At least 3 years work experience in a marketing manager role
  • Professional Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing:

    • Completion of the Advanced CIM Certificate/ CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing or
    • Degree (undergraduate and postgraduate) with significant marketing content from a CIM-approved university or
    • A non-marketing degree plus 3 years marketing management experience
    • 6 years' marketing management experience, 3 of which should be at a senior level

  • Qualifications over 10 years old will not be considered for exemption purposes
