Entry Requirements:

Normally managers with either a degree or equivalent professional qualification and at least 2 years' relevant management experience. Students whose first language is not English must provide evidence of competence in English at IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL 250 or equivalent

The MBA in Oil and Gas Management comprises:

Five (5) specialist modules from CEPMLP,

Three(3) compulsory modules

  • International and Comparative Petroleum Law and Policy
  • Petroleum Policy and Economics
  • Environmental Law and Policy for Natural Resources and Energy

Two (2) elective modules from:

  • Downstream Energy Law and Policy
  • Mineral and Petroleum Taxation
  • Investment Decision Making in the Energy and Mining Industries
  • Mineral Resources Policy and Economics
  • International Project Finance

Five (5) compulsory management modules from the Edinburgh Business School , Heriot Watt University (UK)

  • Organisational Behaviour
  • Economics
  • Marketing
  • Accounting
  • Finance

One (1) compulsory Integrative Strategy Module comprising:

  • Strategic Planning ( Edinburgh Business School )
  • Business Strategy in the Resource Industries (CEPMLP)


Methods of Assessment:

  • Assessed by examination and research paper.
