Certified Associate in Project Management® - Intermediate Module
Launched in 2003, the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® recognises individuals with a demonstrated understanding of the fundamental knowledge, processes, and terminology as defined in "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge" (PMBOK® Guide), the standard of project management's good practices. The CAPM® credential candidate contributes to a project team as a subject-matter expert and may also serve as a sponsor, facilitator, liaison, or coordinator. These project team members assume full or partial responsibility for individual project tasks and their areas of expertise (e.g., finance, marketing and legal), which may not be industry-specific, but relevant across many functional areas and industries.
Course Overview:
The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® certification provides you with a globally recognised project management credential and is one of the best ways to advance your career. Participants will complete the experience through lectures, discussions, cases, exercises and sample examination questions.
Target Audience: Project team members, New project managers, Junior project managers, University students, Recent graduates; Professionals such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, IT specialists, HSE specialists, HR officers and anyone wishing to understand Project Management principles.

Development of a Project Charter
- Preparation of a full Project Execution Plan to include schedules, cost estimates, communication and other sub plans
- Develop and execute QA/QC plans
- Prepare a Risk Management Plan
- Use Project Work Breakdown Structures to develop and maintain a real time program portfolio system
- Apply techniques to effectively control a project and track variance
- Ability to invoice the customer in your project planning and management life cycle, to manage project priorities and control scope changes

Registration Information

- Registration for all Corporate Training courses can be done at the Champs Fleurs, Port-of-Spain, Trincity or San Fernando Campus.
- Payment of fees can be made by linx, credit card or cheque. SBCS is now CASH FREE!
- An administration fee of $100.00 is payable on all registrations.
- A late fee of $20 will apply on registrations within 1 week of commencement of class.
- A Certificate of participation is awarded to each participant upon satisfying 80% attendance of classes and/or any exam or course-work assigned by lecturer.
