The Project Management Professional (PMP)® was initiated in 1984 to recognize an individual's demonstrated understanding of the knowledge and skills to lead and direct teams and to deliver results within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources. Candidates of the PMP® credentials ensure that all of the aspects of the project plan are executed and that progress and variances are properly addressed and communicated. They are responsible for all aspects of the life of the project and not only lead and direct the project, but also oversee project team members.

 

Course Learning Objectives

  • Enhance the competencies required for a project manager to perform in the real world
  • Acquire knowledge from the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide)
  • Describe all the facets of the PMBOK® Guide
  • Build maps on all inputs, tools & techniques and resultant outputs
  • Link each knowledge area to the process groups
  • Use real world examples and scenarios to apply the content of the PMBOK® Guide
  • Be able to quickly connect how each process relates to the nine (9) project management knowledge areas
  • Be familiar with all the concepts embedded in the PMBOK® Guide
  • Build skills in soft skills required for a project manager to include communications, leading, negotiations and conflict management
  • Build strong knowledge and compliance to professional responsibility and ethics
  • Master all formulas and calculations relevant to the PMBOK® Guide
  • Develop a sound knowledge of all terminologies related to the PMBOK® Guide
  • Develop baseline knowledge for further work in preparation for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam

Registration Information

  • Please note that all information is subject to change.  It is advisable to confirm all information before registration.
  • Registration for all Corporate Training courses can be done at the Champs Fleurs, Port-of-Spain, Trincity or San Fernando Campus.
  • Payment of fees can be made by linx, credit card or cheque.SBCS is now CASH FREE!
  • An administration fee of $100.00 is payable on all registrations.
  • A late fee of $20 will apply on registrations within 1 week of commencement of class.
  • A Certificate of participation is awarded to each participant upon satisfying 80% attendance of classes and/or any exam or course-work assigned by lecturer.
